A beauty render of a game model I made in 2016. I designed this model for a turn-based mobile game with tactical grid-based combat.

Deathblade, video intro (2017)

Single frame from an 8-second video intro. Enlarge to watch the video. Modeled in Blender 3D, textured using Quixel Suite 2. Rendered, composited, post-pro & video FX done in Blender 3D, with additional text effects done in After Effects.

Made for Jeremy "Deathblade" Bai, a translator of Chinese fantasy novels.

Stylized bust, inspired by an earlier work that was 3D-printed and given away as a prize. First render in Marmoset Toolbag. Enlarge to show a video turnaround.

A minimalist apartment made as a part of a challenge. Modeled and rendered in Blender 3D, with the see-through effect done by liberal use of Boolean modifiers using invisible, animated objects. Enlarge to view as GIF.

Low-poly realism (2017)

This was an experiment in visual styles. A combination of low-poly models and high-quality render settings. Modeled and rendered in Blender 3D using Cycles renderer, with particles, volumetric effects, DOF etcetera.

Zelda-themed rug (2017)

A style test, using Blender's hair particles to simulate a wall rug. The method uses a low-resolution image to automatically create patterns in the rug.
